Expressing our wants feelings thoughts and opinions clearly and effective is a only half of the communication process needed for interpersonal effectiveness the other half is listening and understanding what other communicate to us the different type of interaction or level of communication at to difficulty in a listening there are four type or levels of listening as follows:

Researches I have found that by listening effectively you will get more information from people you manage you will increase other trust in you you will reduce conflict you will better understand how to motivate people and you will inspire a higher level of commitment in people you manage. effective listening is a way of showing concern for subordinates and that fostors cohesive bonds commitments and trust.

The principle of effective listening as below:

• Reflecting
• Probing
• Deflecting
• Advising

when we listen we should show the other party that what they had said to us has been heard probing means asking for additional information good probing questions ask for elaboration clarification and repeatition deflecting response  shift the discussion to another topic.deflecting shoes that we wear preoccupied with another topic advising  often offend other party.
